The Thin Christmas Air

Moon Christmas (1 of 1)

I breathe in this winter air

It’s dry and harsh
And so unfair
We boil in the sun
We swim in the rain
Only to feel the cold, once again

To fill our hot belly
with warm melting food
We get excited
like the lovers, under the hood.
We keep our fires warm and bright
We hug the wood, we hug it tight

The cold air blows out our sun and moon
Leaving us dissapointed
Leaving us marooned
The cold air is dry, filled with pain
Yet making us feel comfortable
Only to tell us
Winter will swoon us once again
